Fantasy and Sci-Fi:
The fantasy and sci-fi genres can be a bit complicated. I would suggest you start reading these genres after you get used to reading. Sci-fi and fantasy are purely based on imagination and much more. Here are some of the best sci-fi and fantasy books to start with:
- Harry Potter Series: I think there is no one in the world who doesn’t know about Harry Potter. It is a world-famous series by British author J.K. Rowling. It’s all about magic, witchcraft, and imagination. I think everyone should read this book series at least once. The Harry Potter books are:
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
- Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
- Shatter Me: Shatter Meis a well-known series written by Tahereh Mafi. It consists of 10 books named:
- Shatter Me
- Destroy Me
- Unravel Me
- Fracture Me
- Ignite Me
- Restore Me
- Shadow Me
- Defy Me
- Reveal Me
- Imagine Me
This series is set in a shattered and destroyed world caused by humans and follows a teenage girl who has never experienced human touch. The story unfolds throughout the series. I think this is a must-read sci-fi book.
- Spin the Dawn: Spin the Dawnis a fantasy series by Elizabeth Lim. It’s about a girl who wants to become a famous tailor, but obstacles come her way, and she has to overcome them. This is a really fun, magical, and amazing journey throughout the book. You will enjoy this book.
- Caraval: Caravalis a fantasy book by Stephanie Garber. It’s about magic, mystery, adventure, and the amazing bond between two sisters. It’s like living a dream. To find out more, you will have to read Caraval.
- An Ember in the Ashes: I won’t say much about this book. It’s a fantasy novel by Sabaa Tahir. It evokes all kinds of emotions, and you can’t stop reading it.
There are many fantasy and sci-fi books out there, but these are my favorite books that I’ve read so far.
